Growing up next door to my fathers old b&w darkroom in New Zealand with the smell of chemicals and drying negatives hanging about the house, I can see it could have gone two ways. Fortunately I have never lost the fascination with photography and the image.
My approach to imagery is to create a graphic or emotive feel, a classic look to make the subject comfortable in its design and surrounding.
My wife Penny manages the office with a designers eye and a firm technical grip on the post production and retouching and a general sense of calm that is always a welcome home between jobs.
